Biography

s an athlete and sports enthusiast, I understand the stress of having an injury. I have devoted my entire medical career to the highest level of care for athletes of all levels. There is nothing I enjoy more than helping my patients return to their previous level of sport. My focus is creating a goal and timeline with people for them to return safely and effectively to their active lives. I educate and inform my patients about all conservative and operative treatment options available. With compassion and knowledge, my goal is to develop their trust as their physician and confidence in our treatment plan. During my training in California, I assisted in the care of the Los Angeles Lakers, Kings, Dodgers, Angels, and Galaxy, as well as the Anaheim Ducks. Those experiences help me now as the chief of Sports Medicine and Arthroscopy at NYU Langone Hospital—Long Island. I was instrumental in developing a sports medicine athletic training program to serve local high schools. Together, sports medicine physicians, therapists, and athletic trainers work to heal our student athletes back to health. Currently, we work with 14 high schools and 4 middle schools. Additionally, I proudly serve as the head team physician for Adelphi University. Education and research have always been important to me. I actively participate in both local and national sports medicine meetings. I have authored and coauthored many scientific papers, presentations, and textbook chapters. I am the orthopedic residency director at NYU Langone Hospital—Long Island and was key in its development. Also, I have been recognized as the Orthopedic Attending of the Year multiple times.
