Biography

Dr. Krishnan attended medical school at Baylor College of Medicine (Houston, TX) followed by an internship and residency in orthopedic surgery at UT Southwestern Medical Center (Dallas, TX). Dr. Krishnan then completed fellowships in Sports Medicine and Shoulder Surgery at the Steadman Hawkins Clinic and Sports Medicine Foundation (Vail, CO), Shoulder Surgery at the University of Nice (Nice, France), as was selected as an Exchange Traveling Fellow by the European Society for Surgery of the Shoulder and Elbow. Dr. Krishnan is currently the Medical Director of the Shoulder Service, Department of Orthopaedic Surgery, at Baylor University Medical Center at Dallas. Dr. Krishnan is board-certified by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery and an active member of the American Shoulder and Elbow Surgeons society. He continues to publish scientific papers, technique articles, book chapters, and award-winning surgical technique videos. He also lectures and operates worldwide on shoulder problems ranging from total and reverse total shoulder replacement and shoulder fracture management to rotator cuff repair and shoulder instability. Dr. Krishnan is the author of a textbook dedicated to the care of shoulder injuries in throwing athletes, The Shoulder and The Overhead Athlete. He currently directs an online physician education and training program dedicated to the management of shoulder disorders and has created a registry to document and follow outcomes for patients undergoing surgical management of the shoulder.
