Biography

An accomplished orthopedic surgeon with an extensive background, beginning with his medical degree from Cairo University Medical School, Egypt. Dr. Abdelaal has undergone comprehensive training, including a 5-year orthopedic surgery residency in Cairo and an AO Trauma Traveling fellowship in Germany. Practiced as an attending orthopedic surgeon at Dubai Health, contributing significantly to orthopedic care and education in the Middle East. Despite a successful career overseas, he pursued further specialization in the United States, completing a research fellowship at the Rothman Orthopedic Institute, a clinical fellowship in Orthopedic Oncology at Montefiore Medical Center, and a Sports Medicine fellowship at Jefferson Health. Starting a second Sports and Shoulder fellowship at Boston University in August 2024. His journey reflects a dedication to lifelong learning, clinical excellence, and a desire to blend clinical practice with research.
