Biography

Dr. Anand Murthi is the Chief of Shoulder and Elbow Surgery at MedStar Union Memorial Hospital and serves as the Director of the Shoulder and Elbow Fellowship and Research. He is a board-certified orthopaedic surgeon, fellowship-trained in shoulder and elbow surgery. Dr. Murthi received his medical degree from Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine, completed his general surgery internship and orthopaedic surgery residency at George Washington University Medical Center, and pursued a fellowship in shoulder and elbow reconstruction at the New York Orthopaedic Hospital-Columbia Presbyterian Medical Center. He is an elected member of the American Shoulder and Elbow Surgeons Society and has published extensively in his field.
