Biography

I graduated from Tufts University School of Medicine in 2017 and subsequently completed my Orthopaedic Surgery residency at the University of Utah in 2022. Recently, I joined the University of Washington Hand Fellowship program in July 2022. Ongoing areas of orthopaedic research include the cost effectiveness of carpal tunnel release, scaphotrapeziotrapezoidal arthritis, outcomes and opioid use after hip arthroscopy, patient expectations, targeted muscle reinnervation, and the treatment and management of neuromas and peripheral nerve injury. Prior to initiating my orthopaedic training, I completed a Master of Biomedical Sciences degree at Tufts University School of Medicine in 2013, with a thesis focused on the role of biobanking in changing the clinical approach to solid tumor oncology. My research background also includes four years at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute in the Genitourinary Oncology department, complimented with additional experience in the Pediatric, Adolescent, and Young Adult department of Joslin Diabetes Center. Finally, as the daughter of a lobsterman and a member of a family that works on the coast of Maine, I remain interested in the health of and medical obstacles faced by the Maine commercial fishing community.
