Dr. Rizzo graduated summa cum laude from Dominican University of California with a Bachelor of Science in Biological Sciences. She earned her medical degree from the Chicago Medical School at Rosalind Franklin University of Medicine & Science in 2018. She completed her residency training in Orthopaedic Surgery at Donald and Barbara Zucker School of Medicine at Hofstra/Northwell at Huntington Hospital in 2023. Dr. Rizzo completed a fellowship in Orthopaedic Traumatology at Yale University from 2023-2024. She completed a second fellowship in Orthopaedic Sports Medicine and Arthroscopy at the University of Pennsylvania from 2024-2025. She has special interest in hip preservation and arthroscopy, anterior total hip arthroplasty, and orthopaedic trauma. She currently practices as a dual-trained orthopaedic trauma and sports surgeon at the University of Rochester. She is a member of Ruth Jackson Orthopaedic Society (RJOS), Orhopaedic Trauma Association (OTA), AO Trauma, Arthroscopy Association of North America (AANA), American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons (AAOS), and American Medical Association (AMA).
