Dr. Dante Marra grew up in Ojai, California and is a graduate of the University of the Pacific in Stockton, California. He did further undergraduate work at San Diego State University and The University of Texas at Austin. He obtained his medical degree at The Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons in New York City. His residency was completed at the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey in Newark as part of the Rutgers University system. He has over 30 years of experience in orthopedic surgery, with broad expertise in the field. At his office in the Highlands he offers a warm personalized approach to orthopedic issues. He has vast experience in diagnosing and treating a wide variety of orthopedic problems. He is a solo independent private practice physician who was affiliated with the Ohio Valley Medical Center for many years and currently performs surgery at Wheeling Hospital and Reynolds Memorial Hospital. Practicing by himself allows for courteous, attentive, personalized care that is reminiscent of a bygone era of American medicine. He personally sees virtually every patient that comes to the office. Dr. Marra lives in Wheeling and is married to Theresa, his wife of over 30 years and has four grown children who live in Wheeling and various cities in the eastern United States. His outside interests include fitness and travel as well as beekeeping and working on his farm in Belmont County.
