Biography

Dr. Fond has been a respected member of the Rockland community for over a decade as a partner in Advanced Orthopedics, specializing in sports medicine. He serves as the Director of Orthopedics and President of the Medical Staff at Nyack Hospital. Dr. Fond is active in the conservative and surgical treatment of recreational and professional athletes and dancers. He has been an assistant team physician for the Washington Redskins and George Mason University. Dr. Fond is very involved in the care of varsity athletes at high schools in Rockland and Bergen Counties, including St. Joseph's Regional High School. In addition he is a team physician and an assistant professor at Dominican College. Dr. Fond received his residency training in orthopedic surgery at Montefiore Medical Center and Albert Einstein Hospital. He completed a fellowship in sports medicine and arthroscopy at the Nirschl Orthopedic and Sports Medicine Clinic affiliated with Georgetown University. He has authored and contributed to multiple research projects in various areas of orthopedic surgery, and is a frequent lecturer and presenter at international and national orthopedic meetings. He is a graduate of Tufts University and the Albert Einstein College of Medicine.
