Dr. Steven D. Steinlauf specializes in foot, ankle, and lower leg surgery, as well as lower extremity trauma and post-traumatic reconstruction. He received his undergraduate degree from the University of Florida in 1990 and his medical degree from the University of Miami in 1994, finishing at the top of his class. He completed his Orthopaedic Surgery Residency at the University of Miami in 1999 and a fellowship in Foot and Ankle Surgery/Lower Extremity Reconstruction at the Florida Orthopaedic Institute in 2000. Dr. Steinlauf is board certified by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery and is a Fellow of The American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons. He has held multiple leadership positions at Memorial Regional Hospital, including Chief of Staff, and serves as a Clinical Assistant Professor at the University of Miami Department of Orthopaedic Surgery. He has been recognized for his teaching excellence and has presented lectures nationally and internationally. Dr. Steinlauf is also involved in the design of foot and ankle implant systems and consults for orthopaedic companies.
