He graduated cum laude with his Doctorate of Medicine and completed his orthopaedic surgery residency at the University at Buffalo, Jacobs School of Medicine and Biomedical Sciences. He completed a fellowship in shoulder and elbow surgery at the Florida Orthopaedic Institute in Tampa, FL, where he trained under renowned orthopaedic surgeons.
