Lisa K. Cannada, MD is Associate Professor of Orthopaedic Surgery at Saint Louis University Hospital. Dr. Cannada received her BS degree from Ohio University, an MS from the University of Arizona, and her MD from the University of Maryland at Baltimore. She completed an orthopaedic surgery residency at the integrated Case Western Reserve University/University Hospitals of Cleveland program. Her fellowship was at the R.A. Cowley Shock Trauma Center in Baltimore, Maryland. Her research interests include care of the orthopaedic trauma patient with an emphasis on patient outcome studies; osteobiologics and biomechanical studies. In addition, she is extensively involved in orthopaedic education from the medical student to fellow level. Dr. Cannada currently serves on the Board of Directors for the Orthopaedic Trauma Association and is the OTA Newsletter editor, Public Relations Committee member and leads the annual Young Practioner's Forum. She is also the current President of the Ruth Jackson Orthopaedic Society, AAOS Match Oversight Committee Chair, a member of the Nominating Committee and Resident and Fellow Subcommittee and was a Leadership Fellow for the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons. She is a member of the Editorial Board of Journal of Orthopaedic Trauma and Orthopaedics Today and serves as a reviewer for over 7 journals.
