Dr. Peter G. Sultan is a board-certified orthopedic surgeon specializing in adult reconstructive surgery of the hip and knee. He serves as the Chairman of the Department of Orthopedic Surgery at Peconic Bay Medical Center and has performed several thousand hip and knee replacement surgeries. Dr. Sultan graduated magna cum laude with highest honors in Biology from Harvard University and was elected to the Alpha Omega Alpha Medical Honor Society at Weill Cornell Medical College. He completed his residency at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania and a fellowship in hip and knee replacement at Massachusetts General Hospital/Harvard Medical School. Dr. Sultan has been recognized as one of America's Top Surgeons by the Consumers Research Council of America and was named Physician of the Year at Peconic Bay Medical Center in 2013. In addition to his medical career, he is an accomplished concert pianist who volunteers his time to perform at hospital and community events.
