A Galeazzi fracture is a fracture of the radial shaft with disruption of the distal radioulnar joint (DRUJ). Most of these injuries in children are amenable to treatment in a long arm cast in supination. Above-the-elbow immobilization provides rotational control, and stability at the DRUJ is enhanced in supination.
