Review Question - QID 5843

A 28-year-old female comes for evaluation of her right ankle, which remains painful six weeks after she sustained an inversion injury while playing volleyball. She was treated in a functional brace for five weeks and completed a course of physical therapy. On examination, she has diffuse tenderness at the anterior ankle without any retromalleolar tenderness. Anterior drawer testing is symmetric to the contralateral ankle. There is no pain with static weight bearing but she has pain with running. Inversion, eversion, dorsiflexion and plantarflexion strength are all graded as 5/5.
