An 80-year-old female with a T score of -3.0 presents with acute and severe back pain following a ground level fall 6 weeks ago. Since the fall she has been largely sedentary secondary to pain. She is unable to go on daily walks as she was able to do prior to the fall. She is dependent on daily narcotic medications for pain control, resulting in severe constipation. On physical exam, she has tenderness over the T11 spinous process. The patient is otherwise healthy and the remainder of her physical exam is unremarkable. Recent imaging, including AP, lateral radiograph, and a sagittal MRI image are show in Figures A, B, and C respectively. What is the most appropriate next step in management?
