A 20-year-old female college field hockey player presents to clinic with complaints of multiple patellar dislocations during this season and prior seasons. She reports a total of 7 total prior dislocations. A lateral knee radiograph is seen in Figure A with Caton Dechamps index equal to 1.2. She also has an MRI of her knee that demonstrates no major cartilage lesions and a TT-TG distance of 12 mm. On examination, her patella tracks laterally with knee flexion and she has a moderate J-sign. There is no significant crepitus. Lower extremity alignment is grossly normal.
