A 64-year-old female presents to the clinic for continued management of right posterior heel pain unresponsive to eight months of nonoperative treatment which has included shoe wear modifications, physical therapy, and anti-inflammatories. On examination, a prominence is noted on the posterior heel with tenderness to palpation, and the foot can be dorsiflexed to neutral when the knee is extended but 15 degrees when flexed. Lateral radiographs obtained previously in the clinic are shown in Figure A, and the patient is subsequently scheduled for surgery. Intraoperatively, 40% of the tendon is debrided secondary to calcifications. What other treatments are indicated for this patient?
