A 53-year-old male undergoing active treatment for renal cell carcinoma presents with progressive right thigh pain that acutely worsened after stepping out of his truck earlier that morning. His presenting radiograph is shown in Figure A, and a CT scan demonstrates the lesion extending into the lateral femoral condyle. Further workup reveals he has lytic lesions within his thoracic spine, ilium, sacrum, cranium, multiple ribs, and other visceral metastases. His prior oncologic treatments include a nephrectomy eight months ago with ongoing immunotherapy. When compared to intralesional curettage and intramedullary stabilization of this lesion, treating this patient with en-bloc resection of his femoral metastatic lesion and endoprosthesic reconstruction would provide which of the following benefits?
