A 32-year-old man sustains a fall from a ladder after completing autumn maintenance on his gutters. The patient reports that he fell onto his hand with his arm extended, and had an immediate onset of profound elbow pain. Radiographs are obtained and are available for review in Figure A. A CT scan following splint application demonstrates a coronoid tip fracture, in addition to a comminuted radial head fracture.
