A 68-year-old patient undergoes a C2-T2 laminectomy and instrumented fusion for severe multilevel myelopathy. Her immediate postoperative course was uneventful. However, on post-op day 6 she develops worsening motor weakness and paresthesias in bilateral lower extremities. An emergent MRI is performed and reveals an epidural hematoma at C4-5.
