A 35-year-old male is involved in a high-speed motor vehicle collision and sustains an anterior knee dislocation which is reduced in the trauma bay. He is subsequently noted to be unable to dorsiflex his foot. An ankle-foot-orthosis (AFO) is ordered. At a later follow-up visit, he remains unable to dorsiflex the foot despite completing a course of physical therapy. He mentions his desire to walk independently without the AFO and you suggest a tendon transfer to improve his ankle dorsiflexion. What nerve innervates the musculo-tendinous complex being transferred?
