A 17-year-old male lacrosse player gets hit in the right flank by an opposing player. He returns to the sideline and is unable to continue playing. On examination, you note pain and ecchymosis surrounding the inferior aspect of the right ribcage. He denies any shortness of breath. He is taken to the hospital where his vital sigs are stable and labs are performed. Hemoglobin is 14.3 g/dl. Urinalysis is pink in color and reveals negative leukocyte esterase and >5 RBC/hpf. Pelvic radiographs are negative for fracture. CT scan of the chest, abdomen and pelvis is ordered. Given his history and physical exam findings, what will this scan likely reveal?
