A 20-year-old right-handed collegiate baseball pitcher presents with progressively worsening right shoulder pain. His pitch velocity has steadily decreased over the past three months and he lacks command. There has otherwise been no inciting trauma. Physical examination reveals abduction and internal rotation of the right and left shoulder to be 5° and 15°, respectively. Abduction and external rotation of the right and the left shoulder are 115° and 90°, respectively. Rotator cuff muscle strength is symmetric and there is no scapular dyskinesia. Current radiographs are unremarkable. What would be the next best step in treatment for this patient?
