A 2-year-old female presents to the ED with refusal to bear weight on her left leg. She is accompanied by her mother, who states that she went down the slide with her daughter in her lap two days prior and feels she may have twisted her leg. She is afebrile and non-toxic appearing. Her physical exam is benign other than slight ecchymosis overlying her left proximal tibia and tenderness to palpation in that region.
