Congenital pseudarthrosis of the clavicle may be confused with a fracture but most commonly involves the right middle third of the clavicle. Its cause is thought to be related to subclavian artery pulsations. It does not have associated fracture callus and is not painful at birth. Surgical repair should be considered for pain or sometimes cosmesis.
