The radiograph is classic for a non-ossifying fibroma given the classic eccentric position, sclerotic margin, and benign appearance. Other than routine follow-up for the tibial lesion, this child requires no subsequent treatment. Marks and Bauer review the diagnosis, imaging, and treatment of many different fibrous tumors of bone and review the diagnostic imaging criteria specific to each sub-class of bony fibrous tumors.
