  Overview of Core Curriculum Webinar Series 
 
  • In the 2017/18 academic year we will be adding an increasing number of weekly live webinars that will cover the recent weekly topics & weekend reading of the Core Curriculum 365-Day Study Plan.
  • The educational content of the webinars will be directed at residents on the Core Curriculum 365-Day Study Plan, and residents & surgeons preparing for board certification exams.
  • Webinars will follow a Question-Topic-Question review format, and therefore it is essential that you take the pre-Webinar Exam PRIOR to watching the webinar.
  • Live Webinars will be free events*. Webinar video recordings will be posted online 3-10 days after the webinar. Video access will be restricted to Study Plan, PASS, and Virtual Curriculum paying members.

  • Target Audience
    • these are didactic lecture designed for residents and surgeons who want to improve their foundation of knowledge and/or prepare for board certification exams.  
  • Educational Objective
    • these webinars are designed to lay down a foundation of medical knowledge. They will cover the basic science, presentation, imaging, treatment, and techniques related to core orthopaedic topics. 
    • webinars will be a high-yield review and work under the assumption that the learner has already read the topics on orthobullets and completed the pre-Webinar exam. All content on the slides is identicle to content on the orthobullets website.
    • webinars are not a comprehensive review of the topics, do not go into surgeon-level technical detail on the procedures, and are not intended to review current practice or controversies in the field.  
  • Education Format
    • our webinars will follow a Question-Topic-Question learning format. 
    • it is important that you complete the pre-Webinar Exam prior to the webinar. You must be a PASS, Study Plan, or Virtual Curriculum member to have access to the exam questions.
    • it is important that you review the topics that are included in the daily emails of the Core Curriculum 365-Day Study plan prior to the webinar.
  • Live webinar access
    • live webinars will be free events. The webinar will be limited to the first 500 members and priority will be given to Core Curriculum, PASS, and Virtual curriculum paying members.
  • Webinar video recordings
    • webinar video recordings will be posted online 3-10 days after the webinar. Video access will be restricted to PASS, Virtual Curriculum, and Study Plan members.
  • Live Webinar Technology
    • our webinars will use the Adobe connect webinar platform. When you click the link to enter the webinar you be prompted to download the adobe connect application. These are listen only webinars for members so you will not need a web cam or microphone on your computer. We support VOIP (voice over internet protocol) only. You will not have an option to call in via a "landline" telephone.
  • Live Webinar Format
    • these webinars will follow a "didactic" format. 
    • we will not support a post-webinar Q&A
    • we will not support a live chat Q&A during the webinar
    • questions should be posted under the corresponding topics on the orthobullets website and they will be answer over the following day by our team. 
  • CME
    • currently CME is not available for these webinars. We are working to add CME.
  • Pre-Webinar exam
    • our pre-Webinar exams contain premium questions from our Virtual Curriculum that are not included in the free Qbank. To access these questions, you must be a paying member in one of the three following ways
      • you must have purchased the Virtual Curriculum in the last 12 months
      • you must have purchased any study plan in the last 12 months
      • your training institution must have purchased PASS
