Biography

Dr. Jeffrey B. Burnette is a board-certified, fellowship-trained Orthopedic Surgeon specializing in Hip and Knee Replacement. Dr. Burnette graduated from The Citadel, Military College of South Carolina and obtained his medical degree from the Medical University of South Carolina in Charleston, SC. He completed his internship at Walter Reed Army Medical Center in Bethesda, MD and went on to be the General Medical Officer at the Pentagon Army Health Clinic. Dr. Burnette also did his surgical residency at Walter Reed Army Medical Center, then later completed a fellowship in Adult Reconstructive Surgery at Mayo Clinic in Jacksonville, FL. Dr. Burnette served as an orthopedic surgeon at William Beaumont Army Medical Center, and immediately continued his service as an orthopedic surgeon in Iraq. When he returned to the United States, Dr. Burnette went on to serve as the Officer In Charge of the Orthopedic Surgery Clinic and later the Chief of Orthopedic Surgery and Rehabilitation at WBAMC. Dr. Burnette has also served as the Chief of Staff at Coliseum Northside Hospital in Macon, GA. A Diplomat of the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgeons, Dr. Burnette belongs to the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons, the Southern Orthopaedic Society, and the American Association of Hip and Knee Surgeons. In his free time, Dr. Burnette likes to spend time with his family, go fishing, hiking and to the beach.
