Joseph Lynch, MD is a partner at The Shoulder Clinic of Idaho and a graduate of Harvard University. He completed medical school at Oregon Health Sciences University graduating first in his class. His post-graduate training in orthopedic surgery, as well as his fellowship in shoulder & elbow surgery, were completed at the University of Washington in Seattle. While a Commander in the United States Navy, Dr. Lynch served as an Associate Professor of Surgery responsible for both orthopedic resident and medical student education. Additionally, he was the Director of the Division of Sports Medicine & Shoulder Surgery for the Navy’s ACGME-accredited orthopedic residency program in San Diego, California. As a researcher and educator, he has published numerous peer-reviewed scientific articles concerning the shoulder and elbow, presented at regional and national meetings, and is an active reviewer for several peer-review journals dedicated to the practice of orthopedic surgery. His career as a military orthopedic surgeon afforded the opportunity to practice throughout various areas in our country as well as abroad.
