Biography

Dr. Felasfa M. Wodajo graduated Cum Laude from Princeton University, where he received a Bachelor of Science in Biology. He then went on to earn his medical degree from the University of California, San Francisco. Dr. Wodajo trained in General Surgery at George Washington University before transferring to complete a residency in Orthopedic Surgery at Howard University Hospital. His fellowship in Orthopedic Oncology was completed at the Washington Cancer Institute at Washington Hospital Center. Board-certified in Orthopedic Surgery, Dr. Wodajo has dedicated his career to Musculoskeletal Oncology. Before joining Virginia Cancer Specialists in 2011, he served as the Medical Director of Musculoskeletal Oncology at Virginia Hospital Center and previously at INOVA Fairfax Hospital. In addition to his professional accomplishments, Dr. Wodajo has dedicated himself to teaching others. He has acted as a mentor in the Zimmer Minority Summer Intern Program, which promotes diversity and multiculturalism in the field of orthopedic surgery. Dr. Wodajo holds teaching positions at Virginia Commonwealth and Georgetown Universities. He regularly trains residents and precepts medical students. Dr. Wodajo has received numerous teaching and mentorship honors and has consistently been named as a Top Doctor in both the Washingtonian and Northern Virginia Magazine. Dr. Wodajo has published in peer-reviewed journals. He has authored a textbook on musculoskeletal tumors and edited a book on 3D printing in Orthopedics. He holds leadership positions on committees of the national organizations American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons (AAOS) and Musculoskeletal Tumor Society (MSTS). Dr. Wodajo is married with two children. In addition to delighting in watching his two daughters grow up, Dr. Wodajo enjoys bicycling, motorcycling, and listening to jazz.
