Biography

David Friedberg is a board-eligible and fellowship trained orthopaedic surgeon. He treats a wide variety of orthopaedic problems including complex fractures, joint arthritis, ligament tears and sports injuries. Dr. Friedberg earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Physiological Science from the University of California at Los Angeles and spent the following three years mentoring at-risk youth and teaching health education, nutrition and physical fitness with the non-profit organizations Community Outreach for Prevention and Education and the Boys and Girls Club of Venice, California. During this time he also earned a Master of Science degree in Physiology from UCLA and subsequently went on to attend medical school at Albany Medical College. During his orthopaedic surgery residency at New York Medical College he experienced deep satisfaction from helping people and from the ability to provide patients with immediate life-changing results. This compelled Dr. Friedberg to focus on orthopaedic trauma and complete a fellowship at the University of California, San Francisco General Hospital and Trauma Center. Dr. Friedberg is happily married to his wife, Angela, and together they have a curious two-year-old son, Ethan. When time permits, Dr. Friedberg loves to surf, play volleyball and is an active tri-athlete who has completed a Half Ironman and regularly competes in the Los Angeles Triathlon. Dr. Friedberg’s clinical interests include trauma and reconstructive surgery including complex periarticular, pelvic and periprosthetic fractures, total joint replacement and management of malunions and nonunions.
