Dr. John J. Mercuri is a board-certified and fellowship-trained orthopedic surgeon specializing in adult reconstructive surgery, focusing on hip and knee replacements. He employs advanced technologies such as computer navigation, augmented reality, and robotics to enhance surgical outcomes. Dr. Mercuri serves as the Director of the Adult Reconstruction Fellowship and Associate Director of the Northeast Orthopaedic Surgery Residency at Geisinger Health. He is also an Associate Professor at Geisinger Commonwealth School of Medicine. A native of Northeastern Pennsylvania, he completed his undergraduate studies at The University of Scranton, earned his medical degree from NYU School of Medicine, and holds a Master's in Bioethics from New York University. His postgraduate training includes a residency at NYU Langone Orthopedic Hospital and a fellowship at the Insall Scott Kelly Institute.
