Dr. Spencer Schulte is an author at Orthobullets. He is a board certified orthopaedic surgeon. After serving several years as a general orthopaedic surgeon with the US Army, he currently completed a fellowship in Adult Reconstruction at Rush. Born in northern California, he spent most of his formative years in Washington, graduating from Gonzaga University with a degree in Exercise Science and subsequently from the University of Washington School of Medicine. While at Gonzaga he won several leadership awards for his accomplishments with ROTC. At UW he was elected by his peers to the Honor Council. After medical school, he subsequently commissioned into the U.S. Military as an officer and completed his internship and residency in orthopedic surgery through the U.S. Army at the combined program of William Beaumont Army Medical Center and Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center in El Paso, Texas. During this time he served as chief resident, coordinating residency academics and research, and graduated with distinguished honors. He has won multiple national awards for his scholarly activity. His interests currently lie in anterior total hip replacement, rapid recovery total joint replacement, total and partial knee replacements, and management of high-acuity orthopaedic trauma.
