Course Overview
The International Masters Anterior Course is designed to provide an intensive 3-day education on surgical techniques, including modifications and extensions, for primary and revision direct anterior approach total hip arthroplasty.
An internationally renowned faculty – all masters of the direct anterior approach – will share their expertise through a combination of didactic presentations, interactive case-based panel discussions, and surgical demonstrations.
Basic and advanced bioskills labs to accommodate attendees’ different levels of experience. Participants in the Basics lab will explore techniques for primary THA with the direct anterior approach, while participants in the optional Advanced lab will focus on techniques for revision procedures and extensile approaches for more complex primary cases.
CALL FOR POSTERS FROM RESIDENTS & FELLOWS
We are now accepting poster submissions from US-based residents (PGY4 and PGY5) and fellows for the 2026 International Masters Anterior Course (IMACx).
Submit a poster abstract on the direct anterior approach for primary or revision total hip arthroplasty by Friday, July 31, and you may be selected to display your poster at the course!
The lead resident or fellow on the top 3 posters will receive:
Complimentary registration for the course (Primary Lab with didactics)
A cash prize ($500 for first place, $250 for second place, and $100 for third place)
Airfare and ground transportation expenses us to $600 (reimbursed after the course)
2 nights’ accommodations at The Westin Houston Medical Center
The opportunity to display their poster during the meeting
