Description

DisasterPlasty is a one-of-a-kind educational conference dedicated to the diagnosis, management, and surgical treatment of complex primary and revision joint arthroplasty cases. Created for orthopedic surgeons who manage the most challenging reconstructive problems, the course goes beyond routine joint replacement to address the difficult cases that require advanced clinical judgment, technical expertise, and collaborative problem-solving.

The program features internationally recognized faculty leading interactive sessions on revision knee, hip, and shoulder arthroplasty, prosthetic joint infection, periprosthetic fractures, implant selection, instability, arthrofibrosis, soft tissue reconstruction, wound management, and complex bone loss. Additional topics include patient optimization, antibiotic stewardship, pain management, emerging technologies including robotics and AI, controversial treatment strategies through point-counterpoint debates, and the evolving business of orthopedic practice. Attendees also benefit from rapid-fire case reviews, X-ray conferences, faculty roundtables, and interactive discussions focused on real-world complications and practical solutions.

Designed to be highly engaging and clinically relevant, DisasterPlasty emphasizes open dialogue, audience participation, and evidence-based decision-making. Participants leave with practical strategies they can immediately apply to improve outcomes for patients facing the most complex revision and reconstructive challenges in orthopedic surgery.
