The primary symptom of interdigital neuroma is pain, most often located in the region of the metatarsal heads, usually the third and fourth, and frequently described as burning, aching, or cramping. The duration of pain varies from a few weeks to many years. It is increased on walking and relieved by rest, removing the shoe, or massaging the forefoot.
