Biography

Dr. Mark Morrey is an orthopaedic surgeon based in Rochester, Minnesota. Dr. Morrey received his medical degree from the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health in 2007. Following his medical degree, he completed an internship and residency at the Mayo School of Graduate Medical Education. Subsequently, he also completed a Master of Science degree from the University of Oxford. Dr. Morrey is currently studying ways to optimize total elbow and shoulder arthroplasties clinically. From a basic science perspective, his research involves soft tissue healing, the genetic basis of orthopedic disease, and optimizing resident education. Dr. Morrey is specifically interested in the shoulder and the elbow as they relate to tendon healing and joint stiffness. He is also studying how surgical skills training impacts resident education and patient outcomes.
