Dr. Demetrios Douros joined the Orthopaedic Surgery Department in 2013 as an Assistant Professor specializing in Sports Medicine and general Orthopaedic Surgery. Dr. Douros received his medical degree from the University of Illinois College of Medicine in 2007, and completed his orthopaedic surgery residency at the Medical College of Wisconsin in 2012, where he served on the department's Quality Improvement Committee (July 2011-June 2012) and received the MCW Department of Orthopaedic Surgery John S. Gould MD Lectureship Outstanding Research Award in 2012. From 2012-2013, he completed an Orthopaedic Sports Medicine Fellowship at The McGaw Medical Center of Northwestern University.
