Dr. Jonathan Barlow grew up in Hudson, WI, and attended undergraduate and medical school at the University of Wisconsin. Then he completed a 5 year residency program at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, MN. After residency, he did an additional year of subspecialty training in shoulder and elbow surgery at the Rothman Institute in Philadelphia. He was fortunate to be trained in aspects of shoulder and elbow surgery, including trauma, arthroscopy, reconstruction, and replacement. Following his fellowship training, he then worked for 3 years at The Ohio State University Medical Center in the Division of Sports Medicine. There he cared for the spectrum of shoulder and elbow issues: from Tommy John ligament reconstructions to shoulder replacements. Dr. Barlow joined the Mayo Clinic in September of 2017. He has a special interest in shoulder and elbow trauma, in addition to the treating the full spectrum of shoulder and elbow issues.
