Biography
Dr. Philip Stahel is an academic trauma surgeon who trained at the Medical School of the University of Zurich, Switzerland. He completed postgraduate training at the University of Alabama in Birmingham (UAB), University Hospital Zurich, and at Charité University Medical Center in Berlin, Germany. Dr. Stahel is the Chief Medical Officer at North Suburban Medical Center in Colorado and the Regional Chair for the Patient Safety Movement Foundation. He founded the open-access journal Patient Safety in Surgery and published several textbooks on patient safety, including a recent #1 new release medical essay on Amazon entitled, "Blood, Sweat, and Tears – Becoming a Better Surgeon" (2016).
