Biography

Dr. Loiy Alkhatib is a German-board-certified orthopedic and trauma surgeon with European board certification. He has completed fellowships in sports medicine and upper limb reconstruction at the University of Manitoba, Canada, and in shoulder and elbow surgery at University College London Hospital (UCLH), UK. Dr. Alkhatib currently serves as the Head of the Orthopedics and Sports Medicine Department at Dr. Sulaiman Al Habib Hospital in Dubai. He is a member of the American Shoulder and Elbow Society and the German Society for Knee Surgery. His clinical expertise includes shoulder, elbow, and knee surgeries, sports medicine, and minimally invasive treatments for back pain. Dr. Alkhatib is also involved in postgraduate education, serving as an instructor in AO Trauma courses and courses held by Arthrex for shoulder, elbow, and knee reconstruction. In his spare time, he enjoys traveling and karting.
