Biography

Muharrem Yazici is Professor of Orthopedics at the Hacettepe University in Ankara, Turkey. His clinical practice involves pediatric orthopedics and spine problems. Dr. Yazici completed an orthopedic residency at Hacettepe University in Ankara, and a spine research fellowship in Kansas with Marc Asher, M.D. between 1995 and 1996. His interests focus on musculoskeletal problems of children, especially pediatric spinal deformities (neuromuscular and congenital), DDH, and Legg-Calve-Perthes disease. Muharrem has published more than 40 scientific papers in peer-reviewed prestigious journals and delivered many lectures at national and international meetings. His current interests center on congenital spine deformities, LCPD, bladder exstrophy, and spine fractures. He was awarded travelling fellowships by the Scoliosis Research Society and the European Pediatric Orthopedic Society (EPOS) in 2000 and 2001.
