Dr. Eric M. Black is a board-certified orthopedic surgeon specializing in complex arthroscopic surgery, reconstructive surgery, replacement surgery, and fracture surgery of the shoulder and elbow. He has advanced expertise in complex rotator cuff repairs, instability surgery, and shoulder replacements. Dr. Black has additional experience in complex fracture care from his tenure as Chief Resident of the Massachusetts General Hospital and Brigham and Women's Hospital Orthopedic Trauma service. He has worked with a diverse patient population, including professional athletes and patients with major and minor trauma, as well as end-stage arthritis. Dr. Black has trained with some of the world's top shoulder and elbow surgeons and has been elected to the Neer Circle of the American Shoulder and Elbow Surgeons (ASES) in recognition of his exemplary service and leadership in the field.
