Biography

Dr. Vani Sabesan is a shoulder and elbow subspecialty orthopaedic surgeon who has been in practice for 10 years. She has covered high school and collegiate sports teams and treats pediatric sports patients as well. She specializes in advanced shoulder, elbow, and upper extremity and complex shoulder surgery. She has extensive research and leadership experience, with a strong academic career. She has previously held the Lang Endowed Chair in Orthopedic Research, and she served as director of the orthopaedic surgery residency program at Beaumont/Wayne State University and chair of the musculoskeletal curriculum at Western Michigan University School of Medicine. Dr. Sabesan is board certified and a member of AAOS, American Shoulder and Elbow Society, AOA, AANA, and FOS. She is on the board for Florida Orthopaedic Society and a Board of Councillor member for AAOS.
