Dr. Scott A. Rodeo is a Professor of Orthopaedic Surgery at Weill Medical College of Cornell University and an Attending Surgeon at the Hospital for Special Surgery. He serves as Co-Chief Emeritus of the Sports Medicine and Shoulder Service, Vice Chair of Orthopaedic Research, and Co-Director of the Orthopaedic Soft Tissue Research Program. Dr. Rodeo is also the Director of the Center for Regenerative Medicine at Hospital for Special Surgery and the Head Team Physician for the New York Giants Football Team. He has served as a Team Physician for the United States Olympic Team in 2004, 2008, 2012, and 2016. His clinical practice focuses on orthopaedic sports medicine, with a specialty interest in complex knee reconstruction, tendon repair in the shoulder and other joints, and shoulder instability. Dr. Rodeo runs a translational research laboratory investigating the cellular and molecular mechanisms of soft tissue repair. He graduated cum laude from Stanford University, where he competed on the Stanford Swimming Team, and completed medical school with honors from Cornell University Medical College.
