Dr. Thomas B. Kelso II is a board-certified orthopedic surgeon specializing in joint replacement, reconstructive surgery, and sports medicine. He earned his undergraduate degree at Virginia Tech and completed his medical education at the University of Maryland School of Medicine. Dr. Kelso received his orthopedic training at the Naval Medical Center in Portsmouth, Virginia, where he also served as the Director of Orthopedic Residency Research and as the orthopedic surgeon for the Naval Special Warfare Development Group. After leaving the Navy in 2000, he practiced for ten years at St. John's Hospital in Springfield, Missouri, a level I trauma center, gaining extensive experience in orthopedic trauma care. In 2010, Dr. Kelso joined EmergeOrtho in North Carolina, where he continues to provide expert care in joint replacement and sports medicine.
