Dr. Krishan Kumar is a distinguished physician specializing in Pediatric Emergency Medicine. He graduated from G.S.V.M. Medical College in Kanpur, India, in 1977. After immigrating to the United States in 1984, he completed his residency at Lincoln Medical and Mental Health Center in the Bronx, NY, where he became Associate Director of Emergency Medicine in 1988. In 1990, Dr. Kumar joined Nassau University Medical Center (NUMC) in East Meadow, NY, as an attending physician in the Department of Emergency Medicine/Pediatrics. He has served as the Director of Pediatric Emergency Medicine at NUMC and has been recognized for his contributions to the field, including receiving the 'Physician of Excellence' award from the Nassau Regional Emergency Services Council in 2007. Dr. Kumar has also held academic positions, such as Clinical Professor of Pediatrics at the New York College of Osteopathic Medicine and Assistant Professor of Emergency Medicine at New York Medical College.
