Dr. Kirk J. Lewis received his undergraduate and medical degrees from the University of Michigan, where he was a two-year captain for Michigan's football team. He completed his orthopedic surgery residency and sports medicine fellowship at UCLA. Additionally, he pursued fellowship training in orthopedic trauma at St. Gallen Kantonsspital in Switzerland and pediatric orthopedics at the University of California, San Francisco. Dr. Lewis joined the Idaho Sports Medicine Institute in 1985. From 2007 to 2011, he served as an Associate Professor at the University of California Davis and was a team physician for the Sacramento Kings and the Sacramento Monarchs. He has a strong interest in global health and medical volunteerism.
