Pectoralis Major tendon tears of the chest wall are relatively common in weight lifters. Once torn the arm push off strength is significantly decreased.



These tears are technically challenging to repair. The longer one waits have had success treating tears which where up to 2 years old. Repairing an old (greater than 6 months) tear is challenging but certainly possible. ??If you’ve been told that your pectoralis major tear is too old to repair, reach out to me. I’ve been perfecting my Pec tear repair technique for 20 years. I have successfully repaired tears that were over 3 years old. With allografts it is possible to improve your chest deformity and regain your strength.
