Biography
Dr. Aidin Eslam Pour is an assistant professor of Orthopaedic Surgery at the University of Michigan Hospital and Health Systems. He attended medical school at the Urmia University of Medical Sciences. Following medical school, he attended the 2-year adult reconstruction research fellowship program at Rothman Institute of Orthopaedics in Philadelphia. He completed his orthopaedic surgery internship and residency at the Thomas Jefferson University in Philadelphia and then completed a fellowship in Adult Reconstructive Arthritis Surgery at Emory University in Atlanta. He completed the European traveling fellowship by the American Hip Society and attended some of the best orthopaedic centers in Germany, Switzerland, England, and France. He joined the faculty of the University of Michigan in March 2013. Dr. Pour’s research interests include primary and revision hip and knee arthroplasty, hip and knee kinematics, joint implant quality registries and medical quality improvement, and hip preservation surgeries. Dr. Pour is an active member in multiple societies including the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons, American Association of Hip and Knee Surgeons, and Musculoskeletal Infection Society.
